Frequently Asked Questions
Why are JDi Solutions' prices so reasonable compared to other systems?
All JDi systems are developed as hosted internet services. These are much easier and therefore cheaper to install and maintain with no costly site visits. As a small company, we do not have a complex infrastructure to maintain, we keep costs to a minimum and we believe in providing value for money. Maybe it's time to ask, why are other systems so expensive in comparison.
How useful and easy to use is your software?
All our software has been developed in close association with Local Planning Authorities. It evolves over time and enhanced functionality is constantly being added at the request of our clients. Many clients have commented on how easy it is to understand and use our software, indeed we have some clients who have successfully implemented it with no training at all.
With some other IT systems, getting our data out is difficult and can be expensive. How does JDi Solutions' deal with the data?
We always say "The software is ours, the data is yours". All data held in our systems is available to the client in a generic format and can be easily extracted at any time.
Are there any hidden prices? i.e. software updates, data extractions, expensive consultancy fees.
No there are no hidden prices. Software upgrades are included in the prices. The only additional charges are for client-requested consultancy at our daily standard rate of £500 (ex VAT) per person per day.
What is the SaaS (Service as a Service) pricing scheme that JDi Solutions' offers.
SaaS pricing is based on a simple monthly service charge. This is easier to manage than the more complex and high initial costs of traditional licensing payments. Traditional licence pricing is available if required.
